This offering is for the newbie, the beginner backpacker, who has always wanted to adventure into the wild but never felt like she had the skills, support, or know-how to be confident to venture out on her own and reclaim her wild. 

We also extend the invitation to avid hikers, backpackers, and sisters who love being in community and connecting with nature and mother earth.

Guides

During this Group Women’s Backpacking retreat, you will be guided by a certified Wilderness First Responder & Yoga Therapist (in-training), a backpacking enthusiast and long-time Healer, and a Holistic Health and Wellness Coach.

What to Expect

The Wild Women Retreat will provide a unique wilderness and wellness experience. Immerse yourself in the Sangre De Cristo Wilderness for a 3-day/2-night backpacking trip.

This offering is for the beginner backpacker who has always wanted to adventure into the wild but never felt like she had the skills, support, or know-how to be confident to venture out on her own and reclaim her wild.

We extend the invitation to avid hikers, backpackers, and sisters who love being in community and connecting with nature and mother earth.

Explore the Rocky Mountains and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains with a group of motivated like-minded women. Stretch your comfort zone and gain confidence in yourself as you embark on new challenges in the wilderness.

Learn, play, and build community in the outdoors.

In addition to your daily guided movement practice, you'll learn the basic skills to stay overnight in the backcountry. We'll teach you how to set up a tent, hang a bear bag, and cook amazing food in the wilderness. You might also learn how to tie some useful knots and how to regulate your nervous system!

Guides will provide group gear including cooking supplies, stove and fuel, plenty of food, water-treatment supplies, bear bag, emergency supplies, etc.

You will need to bring your hiking boots and camp shoes, a backpack, sleeping bag and pad, lightweight yoga mat, tent (or shared tent option provided), water bottles, weather-appropriate clothing, personal hygiene supplies, and the ten essentials.

Event and guides are insured and one guide is a certified Wilderness First Responder.

*Your guides will plan healthy, backpacking-friendly meals based on dietary preferences and we'll prepare meals together in the community.
